The Landcruiser 100 Series with IFS has experienced issues with cracking of the lower control arm around the area that the Torsion Bar torque arms bolt to due to the high torque and impact loadings passing through the torsion bars and the lower control arm.

The Ironman 4x4 reinforcing bracket is a folded plate that when bolted on, strengthens the lower control arm in the area where cracking is experienced.

Ironman 4x4 recommend fitting a Torsion Bar Strengthening Brace on all 100 series IFS regardless of whether they have aftermarket components.

This bracket is bolted on to the lower control arm at the point the torsion bar torque arm bolts to, it acts as a reinforcement strengthening the area it covers as this an area where cracking is common due to the high torque and impact loadings passing through the torsion bars and the lower control arm.
