Crankshaft Position Sensor No.2

This sensor is responsible for detecting the rotational speed and position of the crankshaft, sending vital data to the engine control unit (ECU) to manage ignition timing and fuel injection precisely.

Being labelled as "No.2" indicates that it is one of multiple crankshaft sensors in the system, typically mounted near the timing gear cover or rear end plate of the engine. The sensor operates by reading signals from a toothed reluctor wheel attached to the crankshaft. A failure in this sensor can lead to symptoms like engine no-start, stalling, rough idle, or poor performance.
